About Entertainment Venues
Tamworth is vibrant and cultural city and although it is best known for its annual country music festival in January, it actually has a full calendar of events on all year round across all types of entertainment.
Entertainment Venues, a division of Tamworth Regional Council, is charged with the management and operation of 3 live entertainment and conference venues - Capitol Theatre Tamworth, Tamworth Town Hall and Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre.
- TRECC – Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre seats up to 4,800 in concert mode. There are dressing rooms, separate break-out rooms and when not used as a concert venue it can accommodate anything from a sit-down dinner for 800 to an exhibition for up to 100 booths. - Capitol Theatre Tamworth - a 394 seat, purpose built proscenium arch theatre. Entertainment Venues programs an annual season of events and is a regular stop on the national touring circuit. Read more about the Capitol Theatre Tamworth.
- Tamworth Town Hall – officially known as the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall, it has been a venue for a variety of events, conferences and concerts, as well as career expos, antique shows and weddings since its opening in 1934. Read more about the Tamworth Town Hall.
