Imogen Clark – www.imogenclark.com.au

In the last few years, Imogen Clark has been touted as one of the most promising emerging singer/songwriters in Australia. Now, with a CMC nomination for New Artist Of The Year in her back pocket, she’s on the cusp of converting those accolades into wider critical acclaim with the release of her new single Collide, the first to be taken from her highly anticipated sophomore album, produced by Mark Lizotte (Diesel).

Collide is an exciting example of what to expect from Imogen’s upcoming album. Steeped in rhythmic, alt-country production with a gritty, rock edge, the track showcases Imogen’s deep, soulful vocal tone and is another example of her wisely crafted lyrics. The single’s sophistication represents a clear growth in Imogen’s personality from a younger, more naïve girl to a more mature, worldly young woman. In its short time since release, Collide has reached #6 on the iTunes Country Chart and #5 most requested song on AMRAP’s Regional Community Radio Chart.

In 2015, Imogen signed with Lost Highway Records/Universal Music (Shane Nicholson, Catherine Britt), recognition of how her songwriting has gained respect in the alt-country/Americana field. Since her signing, Imogen has also been recognised with major awards at the Australian Songwriters’ and Tamworth Songwriters’ Awards.

Imogen’s debut album Love & Lovely Lies has enjoyed great success since its release in 2016, charting at #15 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart and #15 on the Australian Country Albums ARIA Chart. The album’s second single You’ll Only Break My Heart entered the Country Airplay Chart at #14, taking into account stations across Australia, as well as reaching #1 on the CMC chart. The third single Drawing Hearts peaked at #5 on the Airplay Chart, also reaching #1 on CMC. The album’s introductory single Take Me For A Ride debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Chart.

Carrying on the tradition of the travelling troubadour songwriter, Imogen has spent the last five years touring tirelessly. Supporting highly respected artists such as Diesel, Ian Moss, Daryl Braithwaite and Shane Nicholson, Imogen has quickly earned her place as “a mainstay in the Australian live scene” (TheMusic.com.au). She has also earned an abundance of songwriting and studio credits, having cowritten two songs on Kasey Chambers’ #1 album Dragonfly, and recorded backing vocals on Shane Nicholson’s Love & Blood record, both of which are ARIA-nominated.

“Imogen is a songwriter well beyond her years with a flawless voice that is mesmerising. At just 22, she is already an old soul” –Kasey Chambers.

Jen Mize – www.jenmize.com

Coming off the back of her stellar debut album Fear, Pride & A Few Stubborn Angels, which charted in the US on the “Americana Top 100” in 2014, Jen has been busy touring and earning the accolades that come with the hard work of being an Alt Country troubadour and letting authentic songs stand on their own two feet.
In April 2016, Jen brought 26 songs down to the central coast of NSW to record the 12 track album Warnings & Wisdom with ARIA, APRA & Golden Guitar winning producer & songwriter Shane Nicholson.

Jen is openly pleased with the results. “There is a ‘no fear’ attitude on the record. A kind of shout-it-from-a-mountain-top epic-ness about it, one that I think fits both where I am in my life and the songs themselves.”
A descendant of the Lumbee Tribe of Native Americans, Mize hails from a family of Georgia cotton and North Carolina tobacco farmers, Appalachian moonshiners, and growers of what she likes to winkingly refer to as “questionable crops.”

“Jen Mize is more than a great singer-songwriter, she’s a true artist. From the first time I heard her sing, she gripped my heart with raw honesty and deep soul.” - John Walker, Music City Roots.
